When you need a joined image
Most national exams take the photo and signature as two separate files. But a number of state-level recruiters, universities and admission portals have only one upload box labelled something like “Photo with signature”. Their instruction sheet usually shows a sample: a passport-style photo with the candidate’s signature in a white band below it. Making this by hand in a photo editor on a phone is fiddly. Here you set the size once, drop in both pictures, and the layout is done for you.
Both parts are cropped separately, so you can zoom into your face and into your signature independently. Nothing is stretched — each crop frame has exactly the shape of its area in the final image.
Common rejection reasons and fixes
Signature too small to read. If the signature band is thin, give it more room by moving the slider to the left (for example 65% photo, 35% signature), and crop the signature tightly.
File outside the KB range. Enter both Min KB and Max KB from your form. The result shows the final size before you download.
Wrong overall size. Some forms give the size in cm. Convert at 200 dpi: multiply the cm value by 78.7 (for example 3.5 cm ≈ 276 px). Or use the exact pixels if the form provides them.
Photo and signature from different dates. Some forms expect a recent photo. The joiner does not change dates or faces — use a recent photo.
Grey signature band. Keep Clean signature on, and photograph the signature in daylight so the filter can separate ink from paper.
A neat layout every time
The photo and signature are drawn onto a white canvas at the exact final pixel size, then compressed as one JPEG. Because both parts share one file, the KB budget is shared too. The face usually needs most of it, and the signature, being mostly white, costs very little.

Will my signature background match the photo?
With Clean signature on, the signature background becomes pure white, which looks neat under a photo with a white or light background. A thin grey line separates the two parts.
Is there a minimum KB setting?
Yes, use the Min KB box if your form says something like 20–50 KB. The tool will keep the final file inside that range.
